SAKURA ETERNAL
Spring 2020 Formalwear Mini-Collection

In a collaboration with wedding designer Arina Boganova, Sakura Eternal combines European elegance with East Asian mythology by focusing on the tale of the red string of fate. This spring collection continues the romantic narrative that attracts Arina Boganova's bridal customer base by journeying into East Asia to explore their concept of soulmates and eternal romance.
The story of the thread that eternally connects soulmates ties in seamlessly with the whimsical aesthetics of the brand, and seeks to further ideate designs within the realm of their eveningwear collections. Key details of this collection are the highly detailed floral embroideries, inspired by both western and eastern flora, as well as the corseted obi, a fusion between western corseting and the Japanese obi belt. The color palette follows closely with the soft pastels and metallics seen in the brand but offers bright accents of colors to highlight intricate details.
